Escaton (“GMTK Game Jam 2025”)

This is my submission for the GMTK Game Jam 2025. This was probably the most stressful (but fun!) game jam I have participated in! In this game jam, I tried improving and exprimenting with various gameplay mechanics and ideas I had in previous games. I added telportation to other levels, changed how the enemy AI worked, and refined character movement and upgrades. For the future, epsecially with game jams, I think I may need to be a lot more realistic when it came to scope and difficulty. Many players found it difficult to progress in the game and to fully understand the combat. I will work on making the combat more responsive for next time.
Secrets of the Spell (“Game Off 2024”)
This is my submission for the Game Off 2024. This is my second game jam attempt (did not submit on time for first). Game Off was a month long game jam and had the theme of “Secrets”. Through the game and feedback, I learned to create a Tile-based RPG and how to impliment various upgrades for the player. Next time I do a game jam, I will ensure that I will use more formal language within my game and to make the combat more ‘dynamic’ and responsive.
“Game for pre calc teacher”
This was more of a ‘joke’ game for ‘Lellympics’. Even so, it showcases my experience in creating platformer games.
Artificial Intelligence
NLP Artificial Intelligence Model for Stock Prediction
The project was completed with the help of the AI Scholars program. I created a large language learning model capable of analyzing posts and information to online to predict whether a stock would go down or up. I also presented my findings and process in a presentation linked here. This experience has helped me further my knowledge on the potential of using AI for data organization.
